Launching Paurell Studio's New Website

Launching My New Website: A Journey Through Arctic Beauty

I’m thrilled to announce the launch of my new photography website, a space designed to share my visual journey through the Arctic and beyond. As a photographer deeply inspired by nature and conservation, I wanted a platform that reflects both my artistic vision and my commitment to storytelling through imagery.

The new site features several curated galleries, including Arctic Transcendence, Arctic Summer, and Save the Choco. Each collection has its own story, woven together by themes of wild beauty, environmental change, and the fragile balance of our planet.

Arctic Transcendence: The Soul of the Far North

Arctic Transcendence is a visual meditation on the Arctic’s otherworldly landscapes. This gallery reflects my fascination with its stark beauty, where time seems suspended and nature reigns supreme. The images capture expansive glaciers, silent fjords, and rugged coastlines shaped by relentless winds and freezing seas.

I focused on minimalist compositions to emphasize the vastness and solitude of the Arctic. Gentle light diffuses through low-hanging clouds, turning icy panoramas into dreamlike scenes. My aim was to evoke a sense of transcendence, highlighting both the majesty and vulnerability of this fragile environment.

This collection invites you to experience the Arctic beyond its icy surface—to feel its presence, resilience, and quiet grandeur.

Arctic Summer: Life on the Edge

Contrasting the serene stillness of Arctic Transcendence, Arctic Summer celebrates the brief explosion of life that bursts forth when the polar sun never sets. This gallery showcases the dynamic interplay of life and light during the Arctic's fleeting summer months - I visualise this by staying true to my monochrome preference but using much more contrast and light. The Arctic summer is a time of abundance, yet its beauty feels ephemeral, underscoring the delicate balance of this extreme environment.

Save the Chocso: A Story of Conservation

Save the Choco is my most personal gallery—a call to action for the conservation of one of the rainforest's lesser-known but ecologically vital regions. “Choco” represents a remote rainforest habitat threatened by logging, mining and agriculture.

Through this series, I document its unique wildlife, pristine landscapes, and the people working tirelessly to protect it. The images convey both the area’s raw beauty and the urgent need for preservation. I believe in the power of photography to inspire environmental stewardship, and Save the Choco is my contribution to this cause.

Why This Website Matters

Creating this new website felt like crafting a visual home—a place where art, storytelling, and advocacy meet. I wanted to create a space that inspires exploration and sparks meaningful conversations about conservation.

Looking Ahead

Launching this website is just the beginning. It’s a place where I can share evolving stories from the Arctic and beyond, connecting with a global community passionate about nature, art, and conservation.

Thank you for being part of this journey. I invite you to explore the galleries, learn more about my work, and consider supporting conservation through art. Together, we can celebrate the beauty of our planet while working to protect it.

Visit the new site and let me know what you think—I’d love to hear from you!
